There is a certain wonder, certain curiosity we all have to varying degrees. What is this? Why is that? When will the coffee be done? And the intensity varies from day to day, hour to hour. It is normal and it is good.
For some reason this evening I wonder why some refer to me as a biker. Does a biker have a certain look? A certain attitude? A certain intangible something?
What is the difference between a motorcycle enthusiast and a biker? Is there one? Are they the same?
My reading took me to a few places...
What Makes a Biker
Are You a Biker?
Definition of a biker??
Daily Blather...
Here is what I have learned tonight. It doesn't matter. Who's up for a little midnight ride?

It's probably your tinted glasses. They're really scary! LOL!
I've been trying to crack this one for decades. Let me know what you find out.
Ride Well

hmmm, pondering...
"Does a biker have a certain look? A certain attitude? A certain intangible something?"
Yes, yes, 'n yes.....but I've always been drawn to long-haired leather-wearin' motorcycle-ridin' fully-sleeved 'stached-or-bearded guys anyway, so don't go by what *I* think! :-)
Thanks all. Maybe it is the glasses... Maybe it's the leather or the attitude or... Just maybe the definition doesn't matter.
The only common denominator I can determine is that less than four wheels are involved.
At this point, I just think my definition is based more on attitude than attire. This is one of those words that is defined by subjective context maybe.
Not going to think much more about it when there is riding to do. :-D
There is no true exact one definition of a Biker, only cagers. There are 1%, hardcore, weekenders, motorcycle enthusiests (sp), Nomads, Racers, loners, the list goes on.

(I should make a book of all my original quotes)
