Lone Rider

Looking at my pay-stub from last week, I decide to have the 'V-Word' talk with my boss. And I received three straight weeks of vacation later in the year. That is rare. Typically vacation is limited to one week at a time. I have three. Plans for my solo-ride across the country are coming together. Updates as they occur.

You can't get anything if you don't ask. My father told me once that every time you see your boss you should ask for a raise. Every time.

I've asked for a lot of raises over the years and sometimes I've been pleasantly surprised...

Good luck on that road trip across the country. I'll stay tuned.
